7 DAYS RWANDA + LAKE KIVU EXTENSION
Itinerary:
DAY 1: Arrival – Kigali
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will meet & greet with our representative who will brief you and then transfer you to your guest lodge in Kigali
Optional:
- Kigali City Tour
- Visit Kigali Genocide Memorial
Overnight stay
DAY 2: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
After Breakfast, you will have a drive to northern Rwanda to Volcanoes National Park
You will check-in the designated guest lodge and relax as you enjoy the surrounding of the guest lodge
Optional: you can take a nature walk nearby

DAY 3: Gorilla Trekking
After breakfast, you will be taken for a briefing by park rangers on your gorilla trekking experience. After this, the trekking will commence which will take you 2–6 hr. trek
You will be given a 1magical hour to have an experience with a gorilla family. You will then return to lodge for relaxation after a fulfilling trek

DAY 4: Golden Monkey Trekking / Dian Fossey Hike
- Option 1: Trek golden monkeys
- Option 2: Hike to Karisoke Research Center

DAY 5: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
You will check out and be transferred through a scenic drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park
You can have an optional stop at tea plantations, then proceed to the designated guest lodge. Upon Arrival, you will check in and relax for the remaining part of the day

DAY 6: Chimpanzee Trekking & Canopy Walk – Transfer to Lake Kivu
You will rise early morning for chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe. This is also another exciting experience. Upon finding the chimpanzees you will be given an hour to have an experience with them. And you will later return to the guest lodge to rest
In the afternoon, you will go for a canopy walk in the rainforest then later be driven to Lake Kivu
Have Sunset by the lake or relax at lakeside lodge

DAY 7: Lake Kivu Leisure & Return to Kigali
You will have Morning at leisure go for Boat ride or Kayaking or a Lakeside relaxation and in the afternoon transfer to Kigali
