UGANDA SAFARI GROUP TRIP
Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, guests will meet-and-greet our driver guides who will welcome them, brief them shortly and assist them with luggage and off they will be transferred to their guest lodge in Entebbe. Depending on arrival time, guests will either visit the Entebbe Botanical Gardens or relax at their guest lodge Lake Victoria.
Overnight: Lake Victoria Hotel Entebbe
Day 2: Kampala City Tour and Cultural Evening experience
An early morning rise to a breath-taking sunrise cruise on Lake Victoria, here they will be able to catch the sunrise and view different birds on the lake as they enjoy the tranquility and serenity of the lake. They will have lunch on board the cruise before they embark on their transfer to Kampala. They will proceed to a guided exploration of Kampala, the city that busks with vibrations. Here they will visit The Buganda palace- lubiri, Kasubi Tombs, Uganda National Mosque. They will check in to the hotel and relax as they prepare for the evening bonanza. They will later be picked for dinner and cultural performances at the Ndere Cultural Centre.
Overnight: Kampala Serena Hotel or Sheraton Kampala Hotel.
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Domestic flight)
After Breakfast, you will be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for private or scheduled transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This scenic journey will take 1 and a half hours and they will briefly enjoy Uganda’s landscapes on an aerial view. Upon arrival, they will be transferred to their guest lodge for check in, freshen up and then later go for the Batwa Experience and later relax at the guest lodge
Overnight: Gorilla Forest Camp/ Buhoma Lodge
Day 4: Exclusive Gorilla Trekking
After breakfast, the group will go with packed lunch and refreshments ready for the trek. They will embark on a Life time gorilla trekking experience. Here they will be transferred to the headquarters of UWA, where they will get a briefing about the trekking and they will be entertained by a group of Batwa communities through music and dance, just before they start the trek. The trek takes about 6+ hours depending on where the gorillas are found
Once they trekking starts, they are advised to take it slow as its an experience one should take in at their pace though in mind of finding the gorilla families. Rangers will inform the groups on the location of the gorillas and there they will go have an excusive experience. They will be given an hour of experience to take pictures/videos, see how these giant primates live their daily life.
After the experience, they will retrieve back and make a stopover to have their lunch before they proceed back to the headquarters to be awarded certificates and then later be transferred to the guest lodge. An optional walk or relaxation will be their choice
Overnight: Gorilla Forest Camp/ Buhoma Lodge
Day 5: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park and safari activities
After Breakfast, you will check out and drive through the scenic drive of the impenetrable forest and hills to Lake Mburo National Park. This will take approximately 3-4hours. Upon arrival, you will check into the guest lodge, relax for a while before you embark on a drive to the boat safari on lake Mburo and after that go for an evening game drive where you will be able to view different wild life like zebras, kobs, buffalos, impalas, elephants among others. You will be transferred to the guest lodge to relax and for an overnight
Overnight: Mihingo lodge/Emburara Farm Lodge
Day 6: Return back Entebbe
After morning relaxed breakfast, you will go through a cultural activity for the Banyankole culture, see how they graze their long-horned cows, milking cows and how they prepare ghee. Immersed in their culture, they will be transferred back to Kampala. They will have a stopover for lunch at the Equator, where they will take pictures and souvenirs. They will enjoy a smooth journey through Uganda’s scenic countryside. Upon arrival in Entebbe, guests may enjoy optional day-use facilities or leisure time at a premium lakeside setting, providing a calm and well-paced conclusion to the overall safari experience as they wait for their flight back!
