13 DAYS JOURNEY THROUGH UGANDA’S WILD HEART
Itinerary:
Day1: Arrival and transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
According to the arrival times, you will be transferred on Road to the Ziwa rhino sanctuary which is about 3 hours drive
You will track rhinos on foot and also have a brief nature walk or bird watching
You later be transferred to Murchison falls national park approximately 3 hours drive
Check in at the hotel and go for an evening game drive to look for elephants, lions and buffaloes
A stop at top falls for breathtaking news will be made
Over night at Entikko/Pakuba safari lodge /Paraa safari lodge/sambiya river lodge
Day 2: Game drive and Nile boat safari
You ‘ll have an early morning game drive in the northern sector. Later return to the lodge to rest.
You will take a boat cruise to the bottom of Murchison falls spotting hippos, crocodiles and birdlife.
Later return to the lodge for an over night
Day 3: Transfer to Kibale national park
Drive to kibale national park approximately 7-8 hours
A stop over lunch in Fort portal will be made
You will visit Bigodi wetland sanctuary for primates and birds,
Over night at Chimpundu lodge/Primate lodge /Turaco tree tops
Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale national park
Have breakfast and go tracking chimpanzee’s in kibale forest
Return to the lodge and later go for nature walk
Over night at the same lodge
Day 5: Transfer to queen Elizabeth
You will be transferred to queen Elizabeth national park for approximately 3 hours
You will take an evening game drive in Kasenyi sector
Over night at Mweya safari lodge /Elephant plains lodge
Day 6: Game drive and Kazinga channel boat cruise.
Have a morning game drive in Ishasha sector to look for tree climbing lions
In the afternoon you will have a boat cruise on kazinga channel, spotting hippos, crocodiles and birds
Over night at the same hotel
Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
Scenic drive from queen Elizabeth to Bwindi approximately (4-5hours) pass through Ishasha sector for tree climbing lions
Check in at lodge and relax
You can either visit to the Batwa community or community walk(optional)
Over night at Ichumbi gorilla lodge/Buhoma lodge or Mahogany springs
Day 8: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi and transfer to Mgahinga
Have early morning breakfast and you will be transferred to the Bwindi headquarters for briefing
Embark on your gorilla trekking experience which will take 1-6 hours depending on the location of the gorillas
You will have 1 hour for experience within the mountain gorillas
In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Mgahinga national park (about 2-3 hours drive)
Over night at Mount Gahinga/lake Mulehe safari lodge
Day 9: Golden monkey trekking in Mgahinga and transfer to lake Bunyonyi
Have morning breakfast and go tracking golden monkeys in Mgahinga
You will then be transferred to lake Bunyonyi approximately a 2-hour drive
Relax with a boat ride or swimming
Over night at Hawks eye/birdnest@bunyonyi Resort/Arcadia lodge
Day 10: Transfer to lake Mburo National Park
Drive to lake Mburo national park about 5-6 hours
check in and lunch at the lodge
In the afternoon you will go for a boat cruise on lake Mburo
Optional horse back safari or nature walk and over night at Mihingo lodge
Day 11: Safari walks and return to Entebbe /Kampala
Game drive or walking safaris to see zebras, impalas and elands
You will be driven back to Entebbe for about 4-5hours
Over night to Protea hotel Entebbe (optional depending on the flight schedule) or Serena Kampala
Day 12: Leisure Day
Souvenir and art facts shopping along Kampala Buganda Road. Brief city tour and
Day 13: Departure
transfers to Entebbe airport
