As you ascend, experience the unique ecosystems of the mountain while enjoying spectacular views of the surrounding plains of Tanzania. Guided by experienced mountain crews, you’ll gradually acclimatize to the altitude, increasing your chances of reaching Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa.

Itinerary:
DAY 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport:
You will be welcomed by our representative at the Kilimanjaro international airport who will brief you shortly and then transfer you to moshi town where you will spend a night before you start the hike.
Overnight at the guest lodge
DAY 2: Marangu Gate (1,870m) – Mandara Hut (2,700m)
After breakfast, you will be picked by our driver to transfer you from Moshi/Arusha to Marangu Gate
Here you will have a Park registration & briefing and also have lunch then Start the trek through tropical rainforest
Along the hike, you will be able to spot blue monkeys, Colobus monkeys and Rich birdlife
This will take you 4–5 hours hiking depending on your pace
Overnight: Mandara Hut
DAY 3: Mandara Hut – Horombo Hut (3,720m)
A bright Morning depending on the weather, you will have breakfast and start off yet another hike to another camp. You will leave rainforest and enter moorland zone
Here you will have your first views of Mawenzi Peak. A lunch stopover will be made and later proceed to the next hut
This trek will take you 5–6 hours of hiking depending on your pace
Overnight: Horombo Hut
DAY 4: Acclimatization Day at Horombo
This is an acclimatization day, after breakfast it’s Optional but advised to hike to Zebra Rocks
Return to Horombo for rest as you prepare for the next day
This improves summit success rate significantly.
Overnight: Horombo Hut
DAY 5: Horombo Hut – Kibo Hut (4,700m)
After Morning breakfast, you will go on yet another Trek through alpine desert
You will have stunning views of Kibo Peak
Early dinner & rest so that you prepare for summit night.
The trek will take you 5–6 hours
Overnight: Kibo Hut
DAY 6: Summit Day – Uhuru Peak (5,895m) – Horombo Hut
You will have a Midnight summit attempt
You will Trek via Gilman’s Point
And then continue to Uhuru Peak
Celebrate at the Roof of Africa!
Descend back to Horombo Hut
10–14 hours total
Overnight: Horombo Hut
DAY 7: Horombo Hut – Mandara Hut
After Morning breakfast, you will descend through moorland to rainforest
This will take you approximately 4–5 hours
Overnight: Mandara Hut
DAY 8: Mandara Hut – Marangu Gate
After breakfast, you will go for your final descent to Marangu gate where you will receive summit certificates
And then transfer back to Moshi/Arusha
This will take you approximately 3–4 hours
Overnight at the guest lodge
DAY 9: Leisure Day
This will be a day for you to relax and enjoy the hotel and it’s surrounding and also beat off some mountain fatigue!
Optional city tour or other attractions can be tailored for your preference
DAY 10: Departure
After Breakfast, you will check out and our driver will pick you up for the airport transfer
